Barça Ready for Historic Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou on Saturday

The club confirmed they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome the Basque side in La Liga two and a half years following their departure to allow renovations to start.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside as per the current authorization. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. The club said recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players along with upgraded changing facilities.

Stadium Testing

Barcelona held a public practice at the Camp Nou in early November. They mentioned approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side next month at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
