Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window

An aircraft transporting Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an official announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.

"The jet touched down following standard protocol and all passengers, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative said in a social media post.

The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to the Belgian capital at the time.

This event does not mark the first occasion that a US military aircraft carrying a top government figure has experienced equipment failures.

Months ago, a American military jet transporting the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was required to return to Washington after encountering a mechanical fault.
