The rising star has considerable social media presence
The young golfer will have numerous well-known supporters when she makes her LPGA debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to a former US president, obtained a tournament invitation to participate at the Annika competition in Florida.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, operates several golf courses and often competes against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I can't say much but we have competitive games," she mentioned.
She mentioned that Trump, unable to come, counseled her: "Simply stay calm."
"My grandpa basically advised me to compete and have fun," she continued.
"In my eyes, he's just a normal grandpa. He can't make it this weekend. He's occupied with running the country, making him somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has competed in only three events recently and maintains ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
But she's able to seek guidance from 15-time major champion, who is dating Kai's mother.
"He is the best player globally," Kai expressed.
"Furthermore, he's an even better human being. He told me to compete, have fun, and go with the flow."
She'll challenge several the biggest names in professional golf at the Annika, such as world number two the champion, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers stated that involving Kai helps introduce the sport to new audiences, specifically reaching younger fans.
The social media influencer has a massive following and just introduced an exclusive fashion and living label.
The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
